Courtney lived with her parents throughout the various stages of their divorce, when she was 7 years old. Jennifer is her sibling and is an advertising executive. She went to Menlo Atherton High School located in Atherton California. She then received her diploma from Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley California in the year 1985. When she was in high school she also appeared in Mill Valley's Ensemble Theater Company of Mill Valley.
